While we waited for the box spring for our new bed frame, we slept in the guest bedroom and it felt like a mini getaway. Renovating our home has been both overwhelming and very rewarding! We have done so much to it the past 13 years and love being home to enjoy it. An at-home date night with @HallmarkPlus’ new series #HomeIsWhereTheHeartIs is my idea of a perfect night. 
This new reality series, hosted by Luke MacFarlane with co-host Olivia Westbrooks, is both inspiring and heartwarming. What sets this show apart is that it truly feels like a warm hug getting to know each family and their stories connecting them to their homes. I loved hearing the details because every home has a unique story to help uncover its potential. We are the third owners of our 1927 Tudor home that had fallen into disrepair. So much heart has been poured into it, room by room, and we’re still not done. Inspired by this series, I’d love to add more personal touches like a gallery wall with family photos. I wish I could have Luke and Olivia over to pick their brains! They work amazingly together to thoughtfully renovate old homes with personal touches. Spoiler alert, keep a tissue nearby for episode 2.
