I love autumn in Minnesota. The mature trees changing colors, countless apple orchards, pumpkin patches, neighbors decorating outside for trick-or-treaters and our cute downtown could be a backdrop to our own version of Gilmore Girls. I didn’t always embrace this. As someone who grew up mostly in warmer climates, I’d get anxious when fall approaches. After my first born turned one, I realized how quickly time passes by and the need for me to find the joy in each season. Autumn is the season of falling leaves and for me, it also means time to shed the things weighing me down.
