Had an amazing birthday weekend for my oldest hosting her closest friends. She gave us the biggest squeeze hug! Said it was the best birthday and she can’t thank us enough. I didn’t get invited to a single birthday party in elementary school. Not sure if it was bc I didn’t speak English well or maybe it was the 3 outfits I wore on rotation. But it’s okay, I turned out just fine 😉 and feel fortunate to be able to do this for our kids.
After a week of planning a party and doing my first workout with a trainer, I’m ready to hit the bed with a very full heart. I love our bedroom but it didn’t always look like this. FYI - our bed is on super sale! The best one I’ve seen yet. It’s a great classic bed that will go with any style. Comment “BED” and I’ll send our bedroom links to you.

We’re coming up on our 13 yr anniversary and date night will always be sacred around here. With just one touch, Caséta by @lutronelectronics instantly helps set the mood with perfect lighting paired with a playlist (connected to our Sonos) for an upgraded romantic scene 🥹. We’ve been using Lutron for years and have their Diva Smart Dimmers, including one in our dining room. Can’t imagine it without. We feed the kids, first. Then send them off to movie night while we have date night. Sautéed broccolini and steak is on the menu with a side of good conversation and laughter. Save this as your reminder to put date night on the calendar 🫶.

Hopping 🐰 on the Beatrix Potter illustration trend and this is the most whimsical + adorable thing ever! I’ve seen several people share and if you want to try out, upload your image on ChatGPT and ask “Please turn my image into Beatrix Potter illustrations”. They turned out so cute but the recreation of Brian at the end made me lol!
Our stairs also turned out wonky. While the “illustrations” are cute, they can’t replace the work of real artists. I hope this trend inspires you to commission from an artist. There’s something so special about hanging original artwork in your home. If you know of any artists that do these types of whimsical illustrations, please share them in the comments.
